LET'S GET THIS SHOW ON THE ROAD

OPEN RIG NIGHT STARTS THE PERFORMANCE SEASON

The timeline for the shows section below has just one date on it, but that's not the whole story.

We have things planned for June, including a professional show thanks to corporate funding. We just have to nail down some details and dates, then we'll reveal all!

In the meantime, we're expecting a packed programme of brilliant acts on Open Rig Night. Students on our first year-long Professional Development Course will be performing along with some Youth Circus stars, other students and instructors.

Flying changes

Wednesdays are changing for flying trapeze.

The 7pm intermediate class is now open level, and there won't be an 8.30pm class for the time being.

Meanwhile, Fridays are the hottest date of the week so book early before it fills up.

Whichever class you're in, magic moments like this one for Cherilynn happen all the time.

Blasted to the past

Sam was sucked into a time tunnel back to his childhood this week, when Drumchapel Gymnastics Club came in for a party.

It was the first club Sam attended, back in 2005, and his first performance was with the club at Gymfest.

Sam said: "Being a bit of a free-to-roam kid, It literally took me off the streets every now and again. it was quite an emotional experience teaching them 20 years later."

The young gymnasts enjoyed it too!

Performance is an evolution in your circus life. You start with a bit of Circus Fitness and before you know it, you're getting audience gasps for your daring drops or beautiful balances.

Wherever you are on that journey, we're here to support you. We can work with your skills and tricks to create an act; we can develop choreography with you; arrange counterweighting or lifts; or simply follow your instructions for your music and lighting preferences.

THE EASTER EDGE IS SELLING OUT FAST

There are just 10 tickets left for The Easter Edge, so be quick to book yours if you don't want to be disappointed.

The four-day festival of circus arts has more choices for you than last year. Instead of three options of aerial and acrobatic disciplines per time slot, you have four.

Whether you want to work on a new art or develop your favourites, or a combination of both, the Easter Edge is designed to drive your progress.

After training your four chosen arts every day for four days, you're going to be awesome (and possibly knackered!).

The schedule will be revealed in a couple of weeks so that you can pick your pathways. But first, secure your spot before it's sold out!

Just in case you were longing to do a full-time course but couldn't make the dates, we've added another.

The new four-week course begins on Monday 31 March and ends on Wednesday 30 April, because The Easter Edge is in the middle, so you'll have Good Friday and Easter Monday off, and you'll get three extra days at the end.

At the end of every month, we award a free class for the social post that makes us smile the most. It could be a triumph with a trick, or a magic moment for emotional reasons, or something that makes you laugh. Just tag us @aerial_edge (rather than doing it by location). The movement may not be dynamic but it's enough to add to the load.
